MW2 Season 1 and Warzone 2 have the potential to draw players back in, but early reports indicate that DMZ fails to translate immersive Escape from Tarkovgameplay into a Call of Duty experience. While DMZ has proven divisive, Warzone 2.0 will hopefully still be an engaging venue for battle royale combat.Ĭall of Duty: Warzone 2.0 promises to tie directly into Modern Warfare 2 moving forward, but that game's technical issues and lackluster campaign held it back from greatness. A new CoD: Warzone 2 map called Al Mazrah will significantly alter the experience, however, as will new movement mechanics and a new Circle Collapse style. The brand-new free-to-play title will be similar to its predecessor, with teams of players dropping into a massive map which slowly shrinks to force confrontations with other groups. While DMZ has earned a mixed response from early players, this mode will only be one small part of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 when it launches on November 16.
